Follow the instructions below to drain your Flex Connect, whether you are deep cleaning, completing a water refresh, or taking a break from growing fresh food.

If you are only draining your Flex Connect for a deep clean and not your Flex Farms: Before Step 1, you will close all of your Flex Farm Drainage Assembly Valves. This way, only water drains from your Flex Connect, leaving your Flex Farm Tanks full. To return water from your Flex Farms to the Flex Connect, when you reassemble your Flex Connect you will open these valves after connecting your Flex Farm Cam Locks.

Step 1: Connect your Garden Hose Quick Connect Adapter

Connect your Garden Hose Quick Connect Adapter to your source water hose.

Step 1: Connect your drainage hose to the end of your Supply Line

Place one end of your hose in your drainage location (where the water will drain) and attach the other hose end to the end of your Supply Line. Then, when you are ready to drain, open the valve at the end of your Supply Line. Leave the pump on, as your Flex Connect Pump will push water through your drainage hose into your drainage location. Once you hear your pump start to cavitate (draw air), unplug your pump.

Step 2: Drain the remaining water in your Supply Line with a Wet Vac

After turning off your pump, there will still be some remaining water in your Supply Line. To drain the remaining water, you will turn on a wet vac and open the end of your Supply Line. Once water is dribbling out of your Supply Line, you will close the Supply Line Valve and turn off, and empty your wet vac.

Step 3: Drain the Return Line water with a Wet Vac

Now, you will move the wet vac to the end of the Return Line and open the valve with your wet vac on. Once water is dribbling out of your Return Line, you will close the Return Line Valve and turn off and empty your wet vac.

Step 4: Drain the remaining water in your Return Line

To drain the remaining water in your Flex Connect you will remove the end cap on your Return Line with the Wet Vac on and in position to vacuum. Once water is dribbling out of your Return Line you will close the Return Line Valve and turn off and empty your wet vac.

Congrats, your Flex Connect is drained! If you are disassembling your Flex Connect, proceed to the Disassembling & Cleaning your Flex Connect Guide.
