After fully draining your Flex Connect, you can begin disassembling and cleaning. We recommend deep cleaning your Flex Connect every six months following the below instructions. This will keep your Flex Connect in superb operating conditions.
Step 1: Disconnect your Vertical Irrigation Lines
You will begin by disconnecting your Vertical Irrigation Lines by pulling upwards on them (it may require some force). Continue until you have disconnected all of your Vertical Irrigation Lines from the Flex Connect.
Step 2: Disconnect your Flex Farms
Close your Flex Farm Drainage Assembly and Cam Lock Valves. After they are both in the closed position, you will unlock your Flex Farm Cam Lock and roll your Flex Farms a few inches away from your Flex Connect. Continue until you have disconnected all of your Flex Farms from your Flex Connect.
Step 3: Disconnect your Return & Supply Line Sections
Start by disconnecting your Supply line by unlocking the cam lock. Then, proceed to untighten the union on your Return Line. Once the union is unthreaded, pull back on your section. Continue until you have disconnected all of your Return & Supply Line Sections.
Step 4: Cleaning your Flex Connect
Once your sections are fully disassembled, they become much more accessible for cleaning. Use the provided Supply Line Brush to scrub your Supply Line Sections. We recommend using the jet setting on a hose or power washing to clean the Return Line Sections. For a deeper clean, soak the sections in a hydrogen peroxide and water solution in a large tote overnight before cleaning. Continue until all of your Return and Supply Line Sections are cleaned.
Congrats! Your Flex Connect is now fully disassembled and cleaned! When you are ready to begin growing again, follow the Flex Connect Assembly Guide.
